I noticed that at lunch today - I was trying to figure out how the Red Hot Chili Peppers were "classic rock". I thought maybe I was just getting older.

From their site http://947theglobe.com/ looks like they are "going green". At least they are still "rock" whatever that means...

Yeah I just heard the Chili Peppers followed up by Golden Earring. So far a pretty good mix. Kinda like an old DC101 - a little old & a little new. I wonder if they are going to bring Adam Smasher out of retirement (Now we'll find out who the old DC natives are!!! )

Smash, Smash, digging the Smash. Everyday at the studio the man arrives standing 6 foot 10 weighing 225, the Smash. Wooooo, the Smash.

Or close to that (from memory)

Ha!!! Your memory is better than mine. I do remember Howard Stern was on DC101. Of course the Greaseman - The Air Florida bit was priceless There was YDB (Young Dave Brown). Who else???

I really miss old WHFS though - the days of Damian. Where else could you hear Zappa, the Dead, and the B-52's back to back.

Maybe I'm geezing, but I believe it was Howard that did the Air Florida bit, calling the reservation desk to ask when the next flight to the 14th St. bridge was available.
