Garage door warning:

The crew chief, named Ray Rachuba, for a Grand Am team cut off most of his fingers adjusting the spring for a garage door. There is a very large amount of energy stored in garage doors so proceed with extreme caution.

Hey Paul,

Congrats on most important step of creating your garage mahal. I hear we are neighbors -- met a guy with silver 996, lawyer named Dan, in your 'hood. I am in Cascades proper (yuk). Let me know if you need a hand in exhange for future lift access .

Best

John

Good looking lift, is it the Pro-Park (which model/size)? Just wondering, as I'll be in the market soon...how do you like the size and the bridge jacks?

Best of luck with the door, it will be one great space!

Hey John,

Don't know Dan but have seen that silver one as well as a beige one. Lift access just costs some beer and good conv.

Hope to meet up sometime.

Yup regular jack stands (the triangle base) work just fine.

Vu's door guy comes by on Monday morning to do the door and opener. BTW: Most reasonable price of anyone and very nice guy to work with. If you have a normal situation you can get this done for right around $1000 +/-100 for a high lift conversion, with torsion spring and a liftmaster 3800 jackshaft opener.

I'll comment after the work as well but his info for anyone in the future is...
Keyword: High Lift Garage Door Conversion.

Final Chapter in the lift install. Garage door relocation.

The Stoneberger guys came out and knocked it out in no time. The LM3800 (the garage door opener) is a really neat gadget. Whisper quiet, slows to close, locks, has a nice wall mount controller with the time, temp and a motion sensor.

My car goes all the way up to the max height of the lift and the wife's car parks neatly underneath.

Also in closing... thanks goes out to Michael Johnson for secretly helping to plot this while I was in Texas for 2 weeks.
