Europros appears to be the standard recommendation in this area. Several people I trust have recommended them to me. I plan on getting my rust bubble fixed by them once track season ends.

Welcome. I have never seen a 993 AeroKit tail on a 964. Looks kind of funny with the narrow hips.

Thanks for the suggestions and nice comments! I am in Silver Spring, pretty close to DTSS. Hey Toby, good to see you on here I also have the original spoiler and motor, maybe one day I will change it.

So, went to pull the rear wheels off, ever have this happen to you?

I guess they are aluminum "tuner" lugs. I've never used aluminum ones before. Should be a fun time getting the rear wheels off now, happened on both sides to only one lug each.

LMAO. Not only has that happened to me, it was in fact the very first thing that happened to me when I got my car. Just like you I went to remove the wheels, broke the nut and I still remember thinking "Who the f**k uses aluminum lug nuts?!?!" - and then I found out that they were factory. As it turns out, aluminum lug nuts are fine if treated correctly and torqued properly, but many places use either nothing or those impact gun torque sticks that overtorque them and then they break.

IIRC, I (nervously) used a hole saw to cut the remainder of the lug nut away and I was fine. This, however, was on a set of Fuchs where the lug nut was a lot more exposed than on these wheels.

Yeah, after I posted I looked up the OEM lugs on Pelican and indeed that's what they are. I am not sure who was the genius that blasted these on, or did they potentially seize. I am going to slowly drill them out I think, maybe get the correct size hole saw bit. Worst case scenario drill through the stud I guess. Essentially, it's the first thing that happened to me as well.

I believe what you are looking at is the locking portion of the lug nut... I recall that Porsche for a while had a locking system for the wheels that used a pin indexed key that slides over the stud and aligns its pins in the holes pictured in the photo. You then back out the base portion with the key. The lug is not broken but what you removed is merely a cover that threads over the locking base... Now hopefully you know where the key is...
