Easy peasy. 4 wheels and two 24 inch long metal rods that fit the center bore of the wheel would be best. 2 solid rods makes lining the wheels up a lot simpler. this looks like 2 hours to build the rollling stock. You can wrap it however you like. I got time Sat afternoon starting at about 1:00 if you want to work up the frame. Bring wheels, axels and 2 good 2X4s I got the rest in shop stock.

No kidding. Would cure the "I want a rugrat" thoughts real quick.

IMO Most of the time kids are work. It is the "some of the time" time makes it all worth while.

The Boy had the idea of sttripping the Girl's un-used elec scooter for parts to motorize his little red wagon. Well hey now, can't let a learning moment go to waste. A little bit of this and that, fire up the welder and dril press, dig up 4 leftover emergency light battries and he is flying up and down our (dead end low traffic) street almost but not quite out of control. Slow enough to as worst make for some road rash and fast enough to scare all the street moms.

We both considered it a Win.

Hey now. My shop is a mid size hands fully hands on shop. The Boy does his own welding. Steve-o sounded like he was a bit swamped for time. This is a quick slam up in the shop but could be a PITA if you had to dig up/find buy tools and parts for each step. Zandar has been know to stop in for a swim now and then too.

I'm all for it, I'd be there to lend a hand too if I was closer.

I appreciate the offer....my job in this is to procure materials and have the kids assemble. Or at least decorate it. I was worried about finding some thing for an axle since the original spec was lag bolted wheels. Let me see where I get with Lowes and I get back to you if I get into a jam.
