At least twice a day I would get someone come up to and start talking about the session - "Hey, I finally caught you coming out of 9" or "I thought I could hold you off, but I blew turn 3" and I never seen these people on the track at all.
Yeah, that was funny. I was watching from the tower on Friday and saw you pass Riley or vice versa and then 5 seconds later that car passed the tower. I was so confused.

Manny, that reminds me of a speed vision race from years ago, Derrick Bell is driving and they had a cam in the car pointed up at him from the passenger floor board angle along with a mike on him. He is banging along and the motor cuts out 100% He cusses and pulls over drivers left and tries to restart the car. No go and he is in a BAD spot on track so he starts to unhook to get out. You then hear some squawking in his radio and he tries something and the car restarts. Off he goes driving like, well, like D Bell. He gets to the next corner hits the brakes and the shoulder straps ride up on the G force and point towards the dash. He says something like "Oh bloody hell!" and starts fumbling around with the straps while driving, shifting and passing the folks that passed him

yup, I remember that Speed GT race where Derek Bell did that. Of course, I'm not Derek Bell and I can barely steer with two hands much less my knees. Now, had this been a club race.....

Yeah, I had a great time this weekend, particularly running with Kurt during the last session and with John Magistro during some of the other sessions.

I must confess that I am pissed with Kurt about that session. I was using that session to continue to work on left foot braking. I slowly gained on Kurt, and then passed him while using LFB. As soon as I got past Kurt, he picked up his game and got right on my tail. I was really working hard with LFB to put some distance between us, but Kurt was NOT cooperating. Finally, with much profanity in the cockpit , I reluctantly decided to stop LFB to get away from Kurt.

John Magistro really picked up his last weekend. The last time we were at Summit Point, I don't think John could keep up with me if I was on my game. This weekend, I was a little faster at the beginning, but by the end, I could not stay on his tail no matter how hard I tried. It is really interesting to watch drivers improve right in front of your eyes when you are following them. Although I deserve none, I take all the credit for pulling him into more speed and am annoyed with myself that he pulled himself right out of my sight!

And many, many thanks to Matt Marks and Tony Kelly for driving my car and giving me more explanations for my rate of speed, or lack thereof.

Also, thanks to Gary Church for daring to get in the passenger side of my car to give me the Club Race evaluation, which I squeeked through by the skin of my teeth Seriously though, I really appreciated Gary's tips after the second session.

Manny, you are really lucky I do not know how to photoshop! Shake and bake Baby!

When I get my car repaired/painted, I am going to get "I wanna go fast" put on the back!

Great time this weekend . . .

P.S. Mark in Baltimore: Are you trying to dethrone me or something?

I'm glad I finally have my stupid ignition problem figured out. Only been holding me back for 5 DE days in a row! Swapped in some DME/KLR units from another 951S and my "first two laps cutting out" issue seems to have been solved. A bunch of other parts we tried did nothing.

Jerome is even letting me keep his computers for the NASA race this weekend. I might even give them back at some point

The ego boost of the weekend was getting a pass from a GT3 coming out of 9. Whoever you are, thanks for lifting!

That was me (Chip), happy to accomodate as I slowly grow into this GT3 coupled with my first full weekend in White. Great weekend except for the incidents of course, deer are just rats with longer legs.

Slowly building speed and took everything home in one piece and all put away in time to join the family for Sunday dinner.

Props to Justin for once again delivering non-Porsche eye candy to the paddock. Let's see how he handles the VIR trip.
