Great lineup of people on the new show. But the people on the old show were basically a trio of, well, kind of "losers" who had amazing chemistry together, which is what made the show so great. It wasn't just a car show - it was entertainment. My guess is that the new Top Gear will be a car show, more similar to Chris Harris' web site than to the old Top Gear, so will get lots of viewing at first, but the audience will wane as it gets bored. Say what you want about the old Top Gear - it was never boring!

I like the new TG lineup. A nice swath of experiences. No, it won't be like TG was with May, Hammond and Clarkson.. but that show is also available in syndication and as new. Heaven forbid there become 2 decent car related shows on the air

Guardedly optimistic. I do like Chris Harris reviews.

Clarkson says of his new show..."Come on then. We've announced it's in a tent and that its called the Grand Tour and that it'll come from a different place every week. So...." He also shortens it with the acronym GT...which plays well of course with Grand Tour but also smells a bit like the often used TG. Love it.

The new TG was painful to watch. It was a hodge-podge of new ideas while trying too hard to be the same but different. And what exactly is the purpose of ExtraGear? It was a stinker.
