Default fitting Recaro SRDs in the 84

Just bought a used set - should I anticipate problems trying to fit these into the stock sliders? Thanks for the heads up Rob...

Here's a pic:

I have the same seats in my car, bolted right up to the stock rails with no problems.

I had SRDs in my 85 Carrera. Bolted up perfectly using Sparco sliders.
Think about using a set of Sparco sliders. They are much stronger than the stock sliders, and they lock both sides vs single side locking with the stock sliders. At only $65 a side, they are a must!

I would recommend going with Recaro sliders. I first got Sparco's as Recaro's were out of stock. They had a little bit of slop in them, nothing dangerous but just bugged me every time I got in the seat. Changed to Recaro and no problems since.

Good deal, my man. I knew you've been jocking for a set for a while now. Congrats on the purchase, and let me know if you need help with the install.

I have 2 of these. One has a piece of box metal above the slider on each side, raising the seat 3/4 inch (the other does not). On your high seat rails, it would be best to cut that out and re-weld if you have that.

I had to replace the stock sliders on mine, as they were too high and helmet clearance was an issue. Bought a pair of custom ones from the company that sold me the seats (ontrackperformance, if I remember correctly).
