Default bleeding 997.1 brakes

Due to the wrong parts shipping I've got time to ponder the facts, dangerous I know. A question about bleeding brakes 997.1 2007 with PSM .

Durametric < I'd only need this if air got into the line yes?

I've got a couple bottles of RBF600, and time on my hands.

u need a botle, a wrench, motive bleeder or similar, or a friend w a strong foot

durametric will remove old fluid from abs etc if u are doing full flush but shd not need just to bleed

We found that Motive @ 15lbs plus pushing pedal achieved great result on flush. Added pressure forces fluid to come through better than either by itself.

One of the things I learned at PCA TechTactics last year was that Derek Dong, the PFC guru of brakes and head of their Motorsports division was that he recommends that you guys with all these fancy gadgets on your brake systems bleed brakes one side at a time simultaneously. In other words you need two friends to turn synchronized wrenches on the bleeders while one pushes the pedal. He went into detail about this and evidently this is what they do with the RSR's. Must be good for a street car then.....

Wait - do you mean bleeding the front and rear on the same side at the same time? Then you'll need 4 wrenches because each corner has 2 bleed valves!

So confused...

No, just do inboard bleeders, finish, then outboard bleeders. Tap with soft mallet to loosen bubbles that may be hanging up.

Interesting. With Too Tall's arm span he may be able to do front and rear himself

+1 for using motive bleeder for flushing the brake fluid followed by pushing the pedal for bleeding. Might be overkill but I then take the car out engage the ABS and bleed brakes again by pushing the pedal.

Clever. There is a downside to your method, it eliminates the joy of buying expensive tools.

For bleeding, I get it. Follow the script and done. Full flush requires a Durametric or smashing the brakes and re-doing the job. Both work.
