Default Dang... I need Heat! 914 help!

My 914 has none of the parts that are required for heat. All were removed years ago and i have come to the conclusion that it is necessary for enjoying the car for more than 4 months out of the year.

Car has rotten heater boxes so will need the whole batch.

Does anyone have an exhaustive list of what is required or know of a place where all can be sourced? Would prefer not to buy new heater boxes...

Car is a 1.7L

Something like this could be a temporary alternative:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZJ04P4/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000IXTGHW&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0GKR6E527VPBA02DRBYQ
Prolly need a heavy guage wire connection to the battery. But does work. I bought something similar for my race car to help defrost the window during Feb/Mar events.

Thanks Tony... i feel that getting the heat to work would add to the resale value of the car... so gonna concentrate on the factory alternative

Burrito Supreme and a Nachos Grande from Taco Bell. You'll warm up the cabin in no time.

the down side is you eventually give in and open a window.

$1800 for heater system? Buy a rusty project 914 for that strip it and sell off or toss the rest out.
