Default Lighting a car on fire aint so easy!

Well the time has come. The bird looks pretty bad after 3 races, one if which was in torrential rain. And now there are 3 other "chicken" themed cars, so on to a new theme. As I mentioned before, I wanted to burn it; but, I found today, it is not that easy, unless you torch the full interior, which is gone.

Here it is, in all it's non glory.

I have a gallon of Naptha my wife bought for $2.00. We need about a cup. 3.75 quarts of lighter fluid might help. what is that you're spraying on the car. It would have made a great YouTube had it climbed the spray back to the can and blown up in your hand...

Donny,
What you should have done is filled the interior about 12 inches deep of old newspapers (loosly packed), doused the papers with lighter fluid and then set ablaze. That'll get the paint cooking nicely from the inside out.

Go to Walmart - buy a 1-gallon can of Coleman Camp Fuel.

Douse the interior and exterior of the car car - use the entire gallon.

Use your torch to light it......

Run.

Skip the lighter fluid / naptha / newspapers. The answer is thermite (skip to about 1:30 for the car part to start)

One of the all-time great MIT hacks was when they thermite-welded a Green Line street car to the tracks (I believe in the 60s but might have been in the 50s). The city had to bring in a crane and lift the street car (i.e. above ground subway), tracks, and all!
