Default Where to buy: repair kit for 6mm

Need to find a place to buy a time-cert or heli-coil repair kit for a 6mm x 1. My local NAPA, etc, doesn't. Any ideas??

I guess that using Yahoo yellow pages and calling local parts stores isn't considered a search? I'm trying to fix this ASAP and use local suppliers (you know complete a project) and not have to turn to Snapon for a $400 tool when a $20 tool will suffice.

I did find one at horrible freight but I really don't want to go to them for something like this.

Try adding "in MD" or "+ MD" to the google search...

DR, I should have clarified that I have no idea if the locals have it as they seem to have no idea what a 6mm x 1 repair kit is Seriously. They play pass the phone. Scary. I should try again today to see if someone more knowledgable is on staff.

BTW, thanks fo the the google advice DR, hadn't tried that one. Usually use google as a nation wide search.

Default Advance Auto or Greg's Garage....

Mark,

If I'm not mistaken, this is the same size I needed for my BMW M42 head. I believe I sourced mine from Advance Auto in Annapolis. Of course, since I only had to do one thread, I have a few of these left. I'm right around the corner in Crownsville if you'd like to borrow the kit and an insert....

I'll PM you my contact details...

Greg
