Default Battary Charging Question

I have the charger connected to the battary. The charger has options for 2 amps and 12 amps, as well as charge and engine start. I have selected 2 amps option and the charge setting. The charger also has two lights, one yellow and one green. The yellow comes on at start. I can wiggle the battary connector and the green light also comes on. I am thinking that should not happen.

How can I tell a battry chrger is charging the battary? The charger has been connected to the battary on the 944 for 2 days and the needle that indicated the percent charge has not moved.

I might be inclined to make sure the clamps are tight on clean posts and set for 12 amps Charge. Automatic mode if there is an auto/man switch.

Not sure it is automatic. I will go 12 amps. Need to make sure that it starts when the shippers get there to pick it up.

Don't leave it on 12A permanently. Is it a gel battery or a regular battery? gel batteries use a different charger for maintenance charging.

Becareful,

I think I might have fried my battery. I accidentally put the charger on backwards switching the pos and neg. Right now I can't get it to hold a charge. Not sure if its the battery of the charger... ugh....

VG, which up-to-date charger is it that you favor these days? I have heard you talk about them before but you never mentioned which brand.

Do you have cables? Can you jump start the car if the battery is dead?
