Default Local source for racing trailer stuff?

I'm looking for a 1 or 2 gas jug holder for my trailer. I looked online and it's something you can have shipped, but I want to buy local to avoid a fortune in shipping. OG doesn't sell it, anyone know where you can buy locally?

Place in Lake Ridge seels boats has a good selection of trailer parts. West Marine Trailer Supper Store has lots of good stuff. Shipping has always been resonable. Amason often has fre shipping too.

pitproducts makes stuff cheaper than pitpal. The dims on the pitpal look loose for a scribner 5gal jug. Mine measure ~9.5" sq.

If you're looking for aluminum, for an open trailer (like Trailex), the best/sturdiest one I've encountered is the one I bought for my former trailer. It was made by PitPal, but not listed in their catalog. If you call them, and ask to have made the same one's made for me, they can build you a set (actually they were initially designed/made for another PCA member, whose name I can't recall, but the plans should be on file).

If for steel trailer, the setup used on Scott B's trailer is very nice. I believe he bought the "kit" and had someone weld together. IIRC, he's not the only one on this board with the same kit.

Yeah the shipping sucks. I believe I paid like 75.00 for shipping 3 years ago.

If I could do it affordably, I was thinking of bolting it to my tire trailer. Still up in the air on a real car trailer/truck due to lack of use and the gas prices. What I'm saving on not buying it would buy a lot of pricey gas at the track pumps, but anyway.

I guess I should make a template to see if it'd actually fit on the tire trailer before I execute this plan.

Pit Pal is nice stuff, but it is high priced. I haven't tried Pit Products, but Pit Posse is another on-line source that has better prices than Pit Pal.

They target motorcycle racers; their stuff averages about 30% less than the comparable items at PitPal.
