I saw that. Still not sure it has a point. I mean, if you can afford $194,000 for the vehicle which wins the award for World's Ugliest Car and Plane At the Same Time, you can probably afford to hangar your plane and aren't too hung up on the price of aviation fuel. Do they throw in a free Amphicar if you buy one?

My question is.......can it fly anywhere without being followed by the pickup truck? And what's up with the rope tied to the steering wheel?

This theme has been around since the 50s [maybe earlier], and every so often a new variant pops up. This one is a neat package, but its a screaming compromise. Not a great car, and not a great plane. Still, its a neat project and they'll probably sell a few. Wouldn't want to be the neighbor kid who runs his dirt bike into one of those wings.
The blue bungee cord is a hack to keep the road wheels in straight-ahead position for landing & takeoff. I'm sure there are a ton of bugs that will need to be fixed before [ok, IF] production starts.
