Sorry to hear about your incident. :(

Since 9 is a known bumper eater you'd think they would try and do something about it. With a couple of earth movers you could widen the inside between the turn and the bridge by 150 feet. Wouldn't affect the line at all. Just give cars a chance when they lose it. There aren't any structures over there, just a big lump of dirt. Having watched folks move hundreds of tons of soil in my "yard" for the last several months I know it can be done. ;)

Then Sunday I proceeded to go off in T9 at Summit Point. Nut Behind the Wheel and Instructor are OK....car....not so much. Ask Antonio for details at the DE this weekend. On the plus side, I did get to ride home in that sweet "Carrera 2" of his.

Have fun at the DE this weekend, wish I could be there.

I was between T7 and T8 when it happen I will just say that it happen very quick and I am very glad that the instructor and you walk away fine.
Kudos to you about getting track insurance.
Hope to see you soon out there!

Sorry to hear. Bummer,

after thought:

Those things are so fast in a straight line why would you risk horsing one in the turns!

Thanks to all for the "bummer, man" messages and for the votes.

No final word on the Cayman yet, but either way I'm thinking of going for a used 98-2002 Boxster and adding some safety gear like seats and harnesses. The $ saved = more track time next season.
