Default Random Photo Thread -- Pics SFW

We have another thread for random photos for pictures taken by the person posting them here:

http://dorkiphus.net/porsche/showthr...ghlight=Random

THIS thread is for random cool photos that don't involve NSFW (not safe for work) pictures. That means MANY of the regulars here may not have anything to post ... but some people do.

Same as other threads ... no politics, nudity, religion, etc....

Here is a starter. Hydroplanes on the Potomac, exhibition outside National Harbor in anticipation of a 2012 pro race.

In India, showing shoulders in public is considered very sexy!

Wow, I can't believe they're finally bringing back the Hydroplanes on the Potomac!

I remember "back in the day" most of the viewing for the President's Cup Regatta was at Haines Point. The pits were very cool as usual and the Hydros to beat were Ms. Budwiser and Ms. Atlas Van lines!

I can't wait!

I was on the medical team for the President's cup in 1978 or '79. Great memories. Laurel from Laurel was one of the nurses, and I took her to Joan Armatrading at Carter Barron that night (without tickets). Lead-in act was Michael Katakis, and I had a photo of him with Bill and Taffy Danoff (Starland Vocal Band - also wrote "Jet Plane" with John Denver) from when they played the Cellar Door together, so we got in free with backstage passes. Memories...

I remember watching those boats while growing up in Evansville (Thunder on the Ohio was the race name). Really cool event. Certainly a must-see for any gearhead.

My new sidewalk, complements of my (now retired) Dad. I've learned when to call in the pros for home improvement work.

Nice work!

I may have a job for him ... looking to install a sidewalk ... for the right price.

Unfortunately he lives 750 miles away, and told me the next time he visits he's not working.

Not really random, but I think it's cool...the 914/8 prototype car doing a drift.
