I'm joining the chorus of praise for Rob's work. He did my front end and mirrors, created new stone guards for me (for a fraction on the price of the Porsche replacement guards--and he removed the old ones, which is a PITA) and put on custom strips on the back bumper.
If you're looking for paint protective film (clear bra), I strongly recommend him. He's been in the business since 1995 and is extremely intelligent and insightful about its development and nuances. Several other dorki has posted great things about him, add me to the list. And the bonus is he's a very nice guy. Check out his operation in Ellicott City, MD. http://www.proformauto.com/content.php?id=about By the way, there's been some debate on which film to use and some discussion of the orange peel that comes with 3M's film. I think that issue has been fixed, in part by 3M using a different backing for its film. Rob showed me the old stuff (fairly orange peeling), and the new 3M film that went on my 993. It was very smooth and looks great on the car. I'm very happy with the result. -NEK, Washington, D.C. |

He did my wife's car and at least 150 of my clients cars... not to mention all of TPC's race cars... i would vouch for him as well.

How does it work on an older car that already has some stone chips on it.
In the past I have heard it is actually makes the nicks and stone chips stand out more - have they been able to figure that part out? I have a black 2004 996 cabrio with 72K miles - any thoughts? |

from cars that i have worked on, you need to let the new paint cure for ~1 month-45 days before re applying... not issue then.

NEK,
Any feedback after a year on your car? I'm starting to look for an installer to do a first-class job on my 993 in a month or so. Andreas

Rob did my Cayman R - he's great; after 8 months, the job is still fantastic.
